Elite Prep Academy Transforms Outlook Web Access Into Communications Hub
St. Michael's University School Increases OWA Usage with Messageware OWA Suite

June 2, 2008, Toronto, Canada – Like most education officials and young people today, the staff and students at St. Michael's University School, a private coeducational, independent day and boarding school, needed a convenient and effective method to collaborate. The elite school located on the tip of Canada's Vancouver Island, needed an easy and low-maintenance way for their 920 K-12 students and faculty to email, coordinate meetings and open and view attachments regardless which of their 600 computers they were using.

The organization uses Microsoft Office Exchange with Outlook Web Access (OWA), but found it lacking certain features that were necessary to make it the communications hub they desired. Specifically, they needed a way for faculty to easily coordinate personal calendars for meetings and events.  Students, who often have to review worksheets, test results, diagrams, and slides from teachers, needed to be able to open and view file attachments whether or not the associated application was on the PC they were using.  Email usage suffered as well from the lack of spell check and publicly-available contact lists.

Searching online, the IT staff found the Messageware OWA Suite for Exchange 2007. The world's leading provider of enterprise productivity and security solutions for OWA, Messageware (www.messageware.com) enterprise software injects Outlook-like functionality into native OWA. Finding no alternatives that offered the same wealth of features, St. Michael's quickly selected the Messageware OWA Suite 2007.

Messageware OWA Suite 2007 is a comprehensive package of Outlook Web Access features, installed on the Microsoft Exchange Server, that adds both security and productivity functionality to OWA.  Among the products in Messageware OWA Suite 2007 is Messageware CalendarShare, which not only adds side-by-side views of shared and personal calendars but also allows users to delegate rights to others to view and manage personal calendars on their behalf.  Messageware AttachView, another product within the Suite, converts attachments to secure HTML pages so users can view files securely without needing the application.  Over 300 different file types are supported in AttachView, with others added regularly. In addition to these and other features, Messageware OWA Suite for Exchange 2007 includes Plus Pack, an email enhancement package that makes OWA more like desktop Outlook, with an Outlook-like address book, global address list contacts, roaming personal dictionaries and more.

According to Robert Przybylski, Computer Services Manager for the school, installation took only a half-hour and went live immediately. “The main thing I’ve heard from the students and staff is that OWA is ten times faster than our old solution.  I’ve never had one person complain,” Przybylski said. “When you’re working with a server-based platform like Microsoft Exchange, you don’t want to have to be installing software all over campus. The best thing about Messageware OWA Suite 2007 from an IT standpoint is that it is simple to install and works properly.  You’d never know OWA has third-party software in it.”

May 2008

Episcopal Diocese of Washington Improves Internal Evangelism with Messageware
Messageware CalendarShare Saves Religious Institution Time & Money

May 14, 2008, Toronto, Canada – Messageware (www.messageware.com), the world's leading provider of enterprise productivity and security solutions for Outlook Web Access, today announced that the Episcopal Diocese of Washington (http://www.edow.org) has adopted their Messageware CalendarShare solution.

Like all service organizations today, communication and collaboration plays a vital role in achieving the Diocese's goals. However, when the organization’s need to retain staff and save money resulted in an increased number of employees working from home and higher utilization of contract employees, it was a challenge to collaborate efficiently. In particular, they needed a way to share calendars across the enterprise so that meetings could be scheduled easily from any location. While Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA) was being used as the primary webmail platform, the organization determined that OWA’s calendaring functionality was not sufficient for their heavy reliance on calendaring.

After evaluating several solutions, the Episcopal Diocese of Washington selected Messageware CalendarShare to enhance OWA calendaring. The only calendar enhancement software for OWA, Messageware CalendarShare makes it easier for the Diocese's employees to view and schedule meetings when accessing calendars through OWA. Using Messageware CalendarShare, OWA users can view multiple calendars side-by-side, view side-by-side calendars in day, week and month formats, track meeting attendee requests and book shared resources such as conference rooms and equipment at a glance. In addition, with the delegate permissions feature, users can share their calendars, giving other users the right to view and manage calendars on their behalf. For the Diocese, this feature makes it possible for multiple support staff to manage the Bishop's busy calendar.

“In the last 5 years, we and other religious organizations have come to the realization that not only can we not ignore technology anymore, but that technology like Messageware CalendarShare can help us to better achieve our goals,” said Peter Turner, IT Director for the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. “We are able to retain our employees longer by allowing them to work at home as well as hiring more cost-effective contractors and part-time employees.”

April 2008

New Feature for Outlook Web Access 2007 Makes Emailing Desktop Files Quick and Easy

April 14, 2008, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada – IT departments are faced with the challenge of supporting an increasingly mobile workforce who need to access email and files from a variety of locations. The rise of web-based email and applications make it possible for people to work anywhere there is an internet connection but the transition is not as seamless as it may appear, due to differences in functionality between desktop applications and web-based applications. For example, a salesperson making revisions to a proposal written in Microsoft Word is used to sending the file using Word’s SendTo functionality when he is in the office. But if he is working from home using Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA), this functionality is either disabled or brings up another mail client like Outlook Express so the email gets sent from a non-work account. Similarly, when an OWA user is trying to email multiple files, each file needs to be attached one at a time, a time-consuming process.

Messageware, the world's leading provider of OWA enhancements today announced the release of Messageware ActiveSend 2007. With ActiveSend individuals can easily email attachments from within any Microsoft Office or desktop application using their Outlook Web Access email. Besides creating a consist user experience between the desktop and web-based email, this is a tremendous time-saver for the majority of business people today who work regularly out of the office and need to email files from their corporate email account. For IT departments, this means fewer calls to their support desk from users who are frustrated or confused by differences between the applications they use in the office and out of the office.

"ActiveSend allows us to use Outlook Web Access exclusively for email and be as productive as we would using a traditional Outlook client," said Tom Geraghty, IT & Communications Manager for Berrys, a leading UK property services partnership. "Our employees can easily send documents from within Microsoft Office applications without having to struggle with a default email client popping up when they click on a mailto link or having to copy and paste email addresses. By using OWA exclusively with ActiveSend we are able to facilitate easier sharing of workstations, roaming and staff to have the same user experience, whether in the office or out."

“Microsoft’s release of Exchange Server 2007 resulted in more organizations deploying Outlook Web Access, which in turn has increased demand for the features we add that give OWA users an Outlook-like experience,” said Mark Rotman, President & CEO of Messageware. “ActiveSend 2007 helps companies realize productivity improvements by enabling employees to deliver work to clients or colleagues more quickly.”

Messageware ActiveSend 2007 is available immediately. For more information or to request free evaluation software for your organization, visit http://messageware.com.

Outlook Web Access Saves the Day During BlackBerry Outage
Messageware Offers Relief with Free Trial of OWA Enhancements

February 13, 2008, Toronto, Canada – As BlackBerry users across North America are left without service during the most recent network outage, the second major service interruption in the last year, people are turning to Outlook Web Access (OWA) to stay connected while away from their desktop.

OWA is the unsung hero of corporate mobility solutions – it is in fact the world’s most popular corporate webmail solution, but many employees overlook how well it can be used to perform most day-to-day business functions. That is, until events like the most recent BlackBerry outage occur, forcing users to look at alternate, more reliable options for staying connected to company email and documents while on the road or out of the office.

“Whenever BlackBerry experiences a network outage, we receive a surge of calls from people looking to use our OWA enhancements to keep them connected while out of the office without sacrificing the features they are used to in desktop Outlook email,” said Amrita Chandra, Director of Marketing at Messageware, the world’s leading provider of Outlook Web Access enhancements.

Messageware is offering companies relief in the form of a free 30-day trial of their OWA security and productivity enhancements including enhanced address book features, secure attachment viewing, shared calendaring, integration with Microsoft Office, endpoint security and more. Real Estate Firm Launches Mobile Email Platform for Agents
Making Webmail More Like Desktop Outlook Results in 95% Email Usage

February 11, 2008, Toronto, Canada – According to the 2007 Realtor Technology Survey conducted by the National Association of Realtor's Center for Technology, nearly 40% of realtors use email to stay in touch with active clients, using both notebooks and mobile devices to communicate when out of the office. Knowing that inter-company collaboration and agent-to-client communication today is conducted largely via email, when a group of CENTURY 21 owners in the Philadelphia area consolidated their businesses to become the CENTURY 21 Alliance (www.homesofpennsylvania.com), they wanted to ease communication between all of their employees and present a unified front to the public. Now the number one ranked CENTURY 21 Real Estate Company in the Northeast, they set out to accomplish this with an email system that would allow agents to work easily regardless of where they were logging in.

To keep the cost of maintaining their large network of public computers to a minimum as well as to meet the needs of considerable mobile contractors and part-time employees, the company selected the Microsoft Exchange Server and Outlook Web Access (OWA) as their email platform for its ability to provide them with access to email anytime, anywhere.

“Like many businesses today with highly mobile employees, CENTURY 21 elected to forego the Outlook client and instead, use OWA,” said Mark Rotman, President & CEO of Messageware. “By doing this, it allows them to keep their costs to a minimum while still providing an enhanced level of service to their agents and customers.”

However, upon implementation, the solution that the CENTURY 21 technology team devised was quickly dismissed by virtually all of their users because of missing functionality, such as the ability to address to multiple recipients at once, quickly finding addresses for fellow colleagues, spell check, and automatically adding personal signatures to emails. CENTURY 21 selected Messageware PlusPack, an add-on to OWA that makes OWA look and operate more like desktop Outlook. PlusPack seamlessly integrates key user features into OWA, such as multiple contact lists, versatile addressing functionality, spell checking, a built-in thesaurus, signatures, private distribution lists and more, turning OWA into the fully-functional application that the Alliance's realtor's were accustomed to.

“Within just a month of implementation, email usage skyrocketed to 95% of our users utilizing it on a regular basis. Immediately we started getting feedback from everyone that using the system was so much easier,” said Chad Sauerbry, Director of IT for the Century 21 Alliance.

Messageware Exchange 2007 SP1 Enhancements Puts Outlook Web Access Security Back Into the Hands of IT
NavGuard & TimeGuard Provide Endpoint Security for OWA 2007

February 4, 2008, Toronto, Canada – Mobile email security is a top concern for Information Technology and Messaging Managers in 2008. According to a recent survey of 1,000 IT Managers by ScanSafe, over 50% of remote employees are not adhering to corporate security policies when it comes to Web usage. For the millions of companies worldwide that rely on Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA), the world’s most popular corporate web mail solution, and are considering a complex and costly upgrade to Exchange 2007, a top consideration needs to be securing OWA email accounts without relying only on user education.

Forms-based authentication (FBA), the login security feature in Exchange 2007, relies on the user to correctly select whether their computer is Private or Public when logging in to Outlook Web Access. However, according to Messageware (www.messageware.com), the world's leading provider of enterprise productivity and security solutions for OWA, users often select the Private login option because it allows them longer periods of session inactivity before being logged off. In addition, when users navigate away from their OWA session to another web page, any other user can get back into their active OWA session without being required to provide a user name and password. These 2 security vulnerabilities illustrate why companies are looking for ways to secure their webmail environment to prevent costly security breaches and comply with industry regulations.

“User education helps, but is not a full corporate email security strategy.” said Mark Rotman, President of Messageware. “What we have created in our security solutions for OWA 2007 is a seamless and user-friendly means to drastically reduce or eliminate the possibility of security breaches occurring.”

Messageware has released two security applications designed to prevent unauthorized access to OWA 2007 email accounts. Messageware’s NavGuard and TimeGuard for OWA 2007 address everyday user behaviors that put companies at risk. TimeGuard for OWA 2007 extends the security provided by FBA to protect OWA accounts from users who fail to logoff and close the browser window by automatically ending sessions after a period of inactivity. NavGuard prevents users from navigating away from their OWA session without first prompting them to either logoff or return to their OWA session. Each solution can work seamlessly with RSA two-factor authentication as well as Microsoft’s ISA Server. Messageware OWA security solutions are customizable on a granular level, allowing Exchange Administrators to apply settings based on user, groups, IP address, corporate device, and more.

Messageware’s security solutions for Exchange 2007 are priced per CPU based on an organization’s messaging environment. Small business pricing is available for enterprises with Microsoft Small Business Server (less than 75 mailboxes). For more information, visit www.messageware.com.

January 2008

Messageware’s AttachView 2007 Takes WebReady Document Viewing To New Heights
Enables the Secure & Fast Viewing of 300 File Types

January 16, 2008, Toronto, Ontario – Messageware (www.messageware.com), the world's leading provider of enterprise productivity and security solutions for Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA), today announced the release of AttachView 2007 for Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access 2007. The award-winning AttachView significantly extends the functionality of OWA 2007’s WebReady Viewing feature, making it possible to quickly and securely view 300 file types without the native application.

AttachView 2007 secures OWA attachments and puts security control in the hands of the Administrator by controlling the user’s ability to open, copy/paste or print attachments. It prevents OWA attachments from being stored in the Temporary Internet Files of shared computers by converting attachment files into secure HTML web pages, giving fast, secure access to the documents that business professionals need to make decisions. It provides viewing functions not available in Microsoft WebReady Document Viewing, such as a hyperlinked table of contents, printer-friendly formatting and now the ability to view documents with or without Track Changes (see Messageware Integrates AttachView Solution with Microsoft Word’s Most Popular Collaboration Tool) for managing multiple documents versions across many people.  AttachView is also ideal for working with contract documents, marketing or graphic design files, and other files types where formatting, layout and design is critical.

“AttachView makes it possible for our outside sales force as well as our insurance brokers to be as productive as possible while they are on the road,” said Harry Saryan, IT Manager for Thaxton & Associates, an insurance and financial services brokerage firm specializing in the automotive retail industry. “They are able to quickly and easily view critical documents, such as claims, contracts, etc. without sacrificing corporate security.”

AttachView 2007 allows users to not only view the four file types associated with  Microsoft Office, but 300 other file types, including Visio, CAD, and other frequently used applications.

“The average company uses dozens of applications throughout the enterprise,” said Mark Rotman, President & CEO of Messageware. “It is common for each department to have applications generating files that need to be shared with other departments and employees, whether they are in the office or working outside the office. AttachView makes it possible for enterprises to continue collaborating securely while maintaining the highest level of productivity.”

AttachView 2007 for OWA 2007 is available immediately. For more information or a free trial, visit http://messageware.com.

December 2007

Messageware Exchange 2007 SP1 Enhancements Boost Productivity for
Out-of-Office PC & Mac Users

New Outlook Web Access Enhancements Make OWA more like Outlook

December 20, 2007, Toronto, Canada – Messageware (www.messageware.com), the world's leading provider of enterprise productivity and security solutions for Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA), today announced the release of four productivity applications for Exchange 2007 SP1 that save mobile and remote workers time and money.

According to Ferris Research, the typical business user sends and receives 600 emails per week. For mobile workers or employees working from outside the office, webmail can be cumbersome to use because of its limited functionality as compared with the desktop. This adds up to several hours of lost productivity, equating to hundreds or even thousands of dollars lost per worker per week. Multiply that by the number of workers in the enterprise, and companies today are unnecessarily losing a large chunk of time and money that is critically needed in today’s fast-paced and highly competitive global business world.

“Business professionals today are relying on much more than mobile devices to remain in touch while out of the office,” said Mark Rotman, President & CEO of Messageware. “OWA is an integral part of an organization’s mobile connectivity strategy and by enhancing it, it can save an organization time and money.”

Messageware’s intuitive productivity applications for OWA and OWA Light 2007 -- ActiveSend, AttachView, CalendarShare and Plus Pack -- boost employee efficiency and collaboration by transforming OWA into a robust thin client email solution with functionality similar to desktop Outlook. Emails and documents can be composed and sent easily, and users can more efficiently schedule meetings and book shared resources. The result is that individuals are able to be highly productive regardless of their location.

CalendarShare is the only calendar enhancement software for OWA 2007, building Outlook-like calendaring functionality into OWA. It enables users to view multiple calendars side-by-side, view side-by-side calendars in day, week and month formats, tracking meeting attendee requests and book resources conveniently. CalendarShare supports Outlook delegates for manager/assistant relationships.

Plus Pack makes it easy and efficient for users to compose and send professional looking emails from any location by adding Outlook-like features that improve the user experience. Plus Pack for OWA 2007 adds enhancements such as addressing from Sharepoint and Public Folder contact lists and the ability to create and manage an unlimited list of their favorite contacts, which then appear using OWA’s type-ahead functionality. Plus Pack simplifies and streamlines addressing with Rolodex-style address browsing and the ability to view address lists in a meaningful hierarchy, and provides spell check, personal dictionaries that roam with the user and thesaurus.

AttachView extends OWA 2007’s new WebReady Document Viewing feature to 300 file types and adds additional productivity features such as viewing Microsoft Word documents in Final or Markup mode, Zoom and Rotate features that make it easier to view faxes or images, Hyperlinked table of contents for easy navigating through lengthy documents and printer-friendly formatting.

ActiveSend integrates OWA with the desktop and other Microsoft Office applications by setting OWA as the default email for Windows and the desktop. ActiveSend enables the File/SendTo command from within the application, as well as “Mail to” functionality on web pages, using OWA as the default email. With ActiveSend, OWA users no longer have to save documents to their local computer and attach files to an email, saving time and effort.

Messageware’s OWA Suite for Exchange 2007 is priced per CPU based on an organization’s messaging environment. Messageware Integrates AttachView Solution with Microsoft Word’s Most
Popular Collaboration Tool

New Support for Track Changes Makes Staying on Track Possible & Secure

September 5, 2007, Toronto, Canada - Messageware (www.messageware.com), the world's leading provider of enterprise productivity and security solutions for Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA), today announced that their award-winning AttachView enterprise software solution has received a significant enhancement. The premiere add-on solution for OWA that keeps confidential files off shared computers; AttachView 8.5 includes support for Microsoft Word’s Track Changes, used widely in organizations to collaborate on documents.

In organizations today, collaborating on documents is vital to accomplishing day-to-day work. In every industry, redlining and revising documents is a business-critical process. Microsoft Word’s revision feature, Track Changes, has long been the world’s most-used document feature for managing multiple document versions across many people. However, when people are away from the office and open Word documents using Outlook Web Access, they run the risk of either leaving sensitive documents behind, or accidentally forwarding documents with draft changes in them, exposing employees to the public scandals, firings and national security breaches that have occurred in recent years when unintended readers discover such redlined data.

Now, with AttachView 8.5, OWA users can view documents as a secure web page without losing the ability to view Microsoft Word Track Changes revisions. The key features of the integration with Track Changes include.

  • View revisions in Microsoft Word documents
  • View the revision date and author
  • Color-coding differentiating revisions by author
  • At-a-glance, printable summary of revisions
  • Hyperlinked index
  • Final and Markup document views

“Initially built for one of the country’s largest law firms, the Track Changes feature in AttachView has received a great response from Messageware’s largest enterprise customers and law firms,” said Mark Rotman, President & CEO. “Features like this make it easy for people to work productively whether they are at the office or working from home or on the road.“

AttachView prevents OWA attachments from being stored in the Temporary Internet Files of shared computers. It provides secure web access to OWA attachments by converting attachment files into secure HTML web pages, giving fast, secure access to the documents that business professionals need to make decisions. In addition, it allows for faster downloading of large files, eliminates the need for local applications with the ability to view over 300 file formats and provides enhanced viewing functions, such as a hyperlinked table of contents and printer-friendly formatting.

AttachView 8.5 with support for Track Changes is available immediately. For more information or a free trial, visit http://messageware.com/product_attachview.htm.

Growing Number of Solutions Solve Outlook Web Access Shortcomings
Messageware & Ferris Research Announce Enhancing Outlook Web Access White Paper

August 1, 2007, Toronto, Canada – Although Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access is the world’s most popular corporate web mail solution, it has shortcomings that affect security and productivity for organizations that deploy it. Many IT and messaging professionals are concerned about these issues, demand that has fueled a healthy number of OWA add-on solutions that an increasing number of enterprises are turning to.

Messageware (www.messageware.com), the world's leading provider of enterprise productivity and security solutions for OWA is at the top of this category, for both security and enhancements. Founded by Mark Rotman in 1993, a leading expert on messaging and email security, the little-known company continues to experience strong growth and demand for its OWA 2000 and 2003 solutions, while forecasting an exponential increase to meet Exchange 2007 adoptions next year. With a worldwide partner channel and several thousand customers worldwide, including G8 federal and state governments, 40% of the Tier-1 pharmaceutical sector, the world’s largest law firms and household names in every industry vertical, companies turn to Messageware’s security solutions to augment their Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) infrastructure with OWA specific solutions (Messageware OWA Suite and Messageware AttachView, NavGuard, SessionGuard, and TimeGuard). The company’s security solutions minimize the risk of sending and viewing attachments, block the reuse of login credentials, end sessions after a period of inactivity, and prevent users from navigating away from open sessions. Messageware helps companies get the most productivity out of their employees, balanced with the least possible risk.

To further assist the messaging community in making OWA even more secure and increasing the productivity of its users, Messageware and Ferris Research (www.ferris.com), today announced the release of a free white paper, Enhancing Outlook Web Access. Ideal for CIO’s, Messaging Managers and Exchange Administrators, it provides a comprehensive analysis of OWA’s strengths and shortcomings including information on critical security functionality and usability features needed to secure and enhance OWA so that employees can access corporate email from any location without compromising security or experiencing downtime due to limited functionality. “This white paper takes the guesswork and homework out of determining what add-on solutions or extra steps are needed for the most secure and productive OWA experience,” said Mark Rotman, President of Messageware. “Any organization that has deployed or is considering Outlook Web Access will find it an essential guide to making OWA an even more powerful corporate webmail solution.”

New White Paper Resolves Overlooked Outlook Web Access Security Risks
Logging in on Shared Computers & Leaving Active Sessions Top the List of Problems

July 19, 2007, Toronto, Canada – Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA) is the corporate web mail solution of choice for the overwhelming majority of companies today and most of these companies secure their OWA environment with a Microsoft Internet Security & Acceleration (ISA) firewall server. A new white paper released today by Messageware (www.messageware.com), the world's leading provider of enterprise productivity and security solutions for Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access, highlights often overlooked security risks for organizations running OWA with ISA Server. In addition, it offers effective solutions for securing OWA against those risks.

Topping the list of vulnerabilities are users logging in using shared computers, such as at conference kiosks, at home, internet cafes, client sites or university computer labs and leaving an active session, either by navigating away from the page or closing the browser window without first logging off. When a user logs into OWA it creates a cookie that can act as a continuous bridge into OWA user accounts and potentially, one’s network or servers. ISA Server 2000 & 2004 contain an auto logoff feature, but there are still scenarios where unauthorized users can access active sessions. In addition, the newly released 2006 version does not have the auto logoff feature, resulting in users being able to navigate away from active OWA sessions without any warning.

To minimize an organization’s risk, Messageware offers two security software solutions that work hand-in-hand with OWA – NavGuard and TimeGuard. Originally introduced in 2006 and currently in use by thousands of OWA users, both solutions extend the security of ISA to offer total protection for OWA users and peace of mind for IT/Messaging Managers. NavGuard detects when a user has navigated away from an active session and prompts him or her to either logoff or return to the OWA session, while TimeGuard prompts the user when they are close to reaching a session inactivity limit, giving the option of either extending the session or logging off.

“Given the rise in the numbers of remote employees and people working longer hours, companies today have no choice but to offer access to email from any location at any time, but with that flexibility and high availability comes security risks that must be addressed,” said Mark Rotman, President & CEO of Messageware. “We add a critical layer of security to OWA and ISA for companies needing to prevent information from being leaked to competitors as well as adhering to compliance laws or client confidentiality agreements.”

May 29, 2007, Toronto, Canada – Messageware, the world's leading provider of enterprise productivity and security solutions for Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access, today announced a free solution for a prevalent and annoying problem that is being experienced by Outlook Web Access (OWA) users.

Many companies who have Microsoft Exchange with the update Q911829 (released in March and April, 2006) installed and are using Outlook Web Access have been experiencing a problem addressing messages. In some environments, when the spacebar is pressed after addressing a message the address dialog box re-appears and in some cases, while typing the message body, entering a space suddenly activates the addressing dialog box.

Upon hearing about this problem from Exchange administrators who were concerned about the productivity of their users, Messageware researched the problem, found the cause, and has released a free fix. This patch is now available to companies and Exchange administrators who are running any version of Exchange or OWA. It can be downloaded at http://www.messageware.com/fixQ911829.

December 4, 2006, Toronto, ON – Messageware Incorporated, the leading provider of solutions that Secure and Enhance Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA), today announced the release of AttachView 8.0. AttachView secures email attachments in OWA by converting attachment files into secure web pages so they are not unknowingly left behind at every computer used with web email, where attachments are always left in the web browser cache.

Additionally, AttachView 8.0 includes a new design that reduces bandwidth between the Exchange Servers resulting in a significant performance increase for larger corporations.

Leading Retailer Chooses AttachView to Keep Employees Connected Securely
With over 5500 employees, The North West Company is the leading provider of food and everyday products and services to remote communities across northern Canada and Alaska.
