OWA Security

AttachView for Exchange 2010

AttachView secures attachments in Outlook Web App 2010, by extending and enhancing WebReady Document Viewing with over 400 file types, and giving Exchange Administrators complete control over security settings such as the user's ability to view, open, print and save documents. AttachView also adds advanced features such as the ability to view files without the native application loaded on the computer, viewing Word documents with Track Changes or Revision Summary, as well as faster attachment viewing, making it easier for users to work with documents from any location.

NavGuard for Exchange 2010

NavGuard protects OWA sessions with a friendly prompt which alerts the user to a security exposure that could occur when the user leaves the current OWA session active and surfs to a new page. NavGuard requires the user to either log off before continuing to another website, or return to the current active OWA Session.

NavGuard works closely with other security products such as ISA and RSA, to provide a complete security solution. These authentication and security products secure the infrastructure and perimeter of networks; the point at which passwords or tokens are collected; Unfortunately they don't specifically address Web mail applications such as OWA. NavGuard is designed to work with OWA to provide critical security beyond the capability of these products by monitoring when a user has navigated away from an active OWA session and ensuring that the session is not inadvertently left active for the next user to hijack. Security settings can be configured based on users, groups, IP addresses and corporate devices.

TimeGuard for Exchange 2010

TimeGuard extends the security provided by ISA and Forms Based Authentication (FBA) by offering a maximum session timeout option which requires users to re-authenticate after a predefined session time has passed. TimeGuard also provides a session inactivity timeout which will log a user off after a predefined period of idleness. Both of these settings may be configured to enforce different security policies for users, groups, IP addresses and/or corporate devices.

Prior to terminating a user's OWA session due to inactivity, TimeGuard provides a user-friendly prompt giving the user the option to either extend the session or logout of OWA. Similarly when the session maximum time is exceeded, the user is given advance warning. This allows the user time to save any work in progress that might otherwise be lost.

OWA Productivity

Plus Pack for Exchange 2010

Plus Pack seamlessly integrates key features such as intuitive, Outlook-like addressing, Rolodex style address book, addressing from Public Folder and SharePoint contact lists, and roaming, personal dictionaries. Further features incorporated in Plus Pack include an OWA Today page, advanced customizable search capabilities, and Enhanced New Mail Notification.

For companies with policies requiring users to stay on older versions of browsers, such as IE 6, and Firefox 2.0.2 where they can only use OWA Light, Plus Pack provides them with many of the features previously only available to OWA premium users.

OWA Print for Exchange 2010

OWA Print provides OWA users the capability to see and print their daily, weekly and monthly calendars and schedules, as well as delegates' schedules, in multiple layouts. Powered by an intelligent print engine, OWA Print determines the best layout for a user's calendar based on the view chosen for printing; this includes automatic rotation for Portrait and Landscape output. OWA Print also extends the ability to print Contacts in formats such as Business Card and Phone Directory styles. OWA Light users can now print emails, appointments and meeting items; functionality that was previously available only in the full version of OWA.

ActiveSend for Exchange 2010

ActiveSend integrates Outlook Web App with Microsoft Office and desktop applications, allowing users to quickly and easily email files from within applications, using OWA as the default email. ActiveSend enables the File/SendTo command from within the application, as well as “Mail to” functionality on web pages, using OWA as the default email. With ActiveSend, OWA users no longer have to save documents to their local computer and attach files to an email, saving time and effort.

CalendarPack for Exchange 2010

CalendarPack provides additional functionality to the calendaring capability for users of OWA and OWA Light. Users will be able to manage delegate rights from within OWA and set permission levels with CalendarPack to allow others to view, edit or manage calendars on their behalf. Events and holidays can be imported automatically or manually, and advanced Calendar searching capability allows users to quickly search for any previous or upcoming appointments or meetings, based on various search criteria. In OWA Light, Messageware CalendarPack provides additional functionality like Calendar Reminders which notify users of upcoming meetings, Open Shared Calendar and the options to view their calendar in different layouts.
