AttachView 2010 - Extend WebReady Document Viewing in Exchange 2010 OWA

Messageware AttachView prevents the data leakage that could occur when viewing attachments in Outlook Web App as the information in the attachment is downloaded to the local computer. Without AttachView the attachment remains unprotected and available even after the OWA session is ended. This represents an unacceptable risk of a third party viewing confidential company or client data.

While Microsoft has recognized this risk and created WebReady Document Viewing to protect four types of Microsoft Office documents; Messageware’s AttachView secures attachments in OWA 2010 for Microsoft Office documents and 400 other file formats.

Attachments are protected by converting documents into secure HTML pages which are not stored on the local computer.

In addition to AttachView’s protection of an extensive array of file types, Exchange Administrators can customize security settings on a granular level, controlling the user’s ability to view, open, print and save documents. Additional viewing features that are unique to AttachView include viewing Track Changes revisions in Microsoft Word documents, faster attachment viewing, zoom and rotate, and much more, making it simple for users to work with documents from any location.

Faster viewing of Attachments

AttachView speeds up the conversion and download of attachment information to your computer. Messageware AttachView is designed so only a single instance of an attachment is stored regardless of the number of requests made to view the attachment, resulting in considerably less strain on the server. A good example of this would be a company wide memo which could be viewed by thousands of users.
